Tours

This tour introduces both the history and the architectural development of the castle. Visitors can see the state rooms and get a glimpse of life in a late medieval aristocratic manor in the 16th century. The tour begins in the Red Bastion, furnished as a counting room, with the castle's miniature model showing its original extent. It then goes on over the Zwinger to the Northern Palace to show all private and state rooms on view. At the end of the tour there is the castle's Armoury with an exposition of numerous kinds of firearms and cold weapons.

The second tour named 'The Kitchen' takes the visitors to the rooms intended for maintaining and running the castle. It begins in the cellars of the Southern Palace where dairy products, meat and wine were stored. In the cellars under the Northern Palace there is on the other hand a relic of prison left by film producers. The newly added bread storage cellar shows the equipment for baking. Then come the Wardroom, the Hetman's Office, the northeastern Zwinger and the final stop in the Black Kitchen.
